Kusadasi, Turkey
It’s
almost bedtime so this blog will be short.
Kusadasi is still my favorite port although Marmaris is a close second…
We
got up early for us – 9am – and headed off to the shops. We verified with one of the stores about some
items we previously purchased then went our separate ways. Brian off to get a haircut and me to search
for a Turkish rug. I had success in the
fourth shop and am now the proud owner of a 5’x8 green Turkish rug. Ya’ll are invited over to see it anytime when
we return. My rug errand took only about
an hour so I felt a bit bereft as I had no other particular plans for the day.
So
I went in search of a Turkish bath after eating a delicious meal. I got an hour and half treatment that involved
showers, sauna, hot tile bed, loofah scrub and slapping, buckets of hot water
and bubbles… Then a facial and ½ hour
massage… I am clean for a week
guaranteed…lol!
Turns
out Big B got a treatment too instead of just a beard trim and a haircut. He got a scalp massage, his ear singed or
candlewicked, and more – the whole process took over an hour and cost only
$30. He looks like a different guy…lol!
Kusadasi
is a great port and we have thoroughly enjoyed Turkey…this was our last stop
here – we are headed to Croatia and Greece next.
Good
night ya’ll and happy sailing...
